RSPO Segregated means that RSPO-certified palm oil from certified sources is kept separate from conventional palm oil throughout the supply chain. RSPO Mass Balance means that certified and conventional palm oil can be mixed in the supply chain, but the certified volumes are monitored and controlled. Both models support RSPO-certified palm oil production, but they do not make the same physical traceability claim.
